We are the largest Polish supplier (over 90%) of NX Progressive. We published the first Polish book for die design in NX. Designing multi-taper dies is a very complex process, both in terms of the complexity of the product (die, blank) and in terms of manufacturing its components. NX Progressive Die Design is a rich set of tools that automates the process of taking the geometry of a part, developing and laying it out on a tape, and then designing the die.

NX Progressive is an integrated solution that helps you efficiently design multi-taper dies using the latest design tools and technologies. NX Progressive provides access to a knowledge base of part libraries that can be used at any stage of design. By combining a powerful CAD environment with a module that automates the design of multi-bar stamping dies, NX Progressive can easily handle very complex geometries (embossing).
Thanks to its specialised structure, NX Progressive guides you step by step through all the design stages. It ensures flexibility of work and minimises the possibility of errors. It allows you to quickly control the entire project from checking for static collisions to kinematic simulation of the stamping die.
Fast, flexible and efficient design
NX Progressive allows you to quickly design an openwork, create different variants, obtain information about the amount of material used, calculate the process force, etc.
Seamless work with data from other CAD systems
Thanks to the synchronous modelling technology available in NX Progressive, it is possible to quickly make necessary changes in the model in order to improve technological properties of a sheet-metal part. The imported model can be easily modified and repaired. Additionally, it contains a mechanism of fold recognition which eliminates the necessity of modelling the part anew.
Analysis of non-linear developments
NX Progressive gives the user a number of options for developing walls with embossing and non-linear bends. During the analysis, it shows useful information specifying the level of distortion, material thickness, stresses, profile before embossing, etc.
Extensive database of standard parts
The NX Progressive package includes a number of libraries of standard parts from global manufacturers such as MISUMI, DAYTON, FUTABA, FIBRO, STRACK, etc. Thanks to the open structure, the implemented libraries can be freely added and edited.
Automation of flat drawings
NX Progressive allows you to significantly speed up the work related to flat drawings (documentation). It creates automatic parts lists, manages drawing properties, gives model dimensions, creates projections and sections automatically, adds dimensions automatically, etc.
NX Progressive Features
NX Progressive enables you to use a proven way of designing multitaper dies, reflecting the real approach of the designer making the tooling. It provides a structured way of working that is repeatable with every tool. Thanks to high efficiency, it allows to reduce by almost half the time needed for design in comparison with traditional methods.
Roll-out of bends
NX Progressive allows you to develop both walls with linear and non-linear bends. In the case of linear bends, NX Progressive selects a neutral factor and performs the target unfolding. For non-linear bends, on the other hand, it enables an analysis to be performed which results in a profile before the bend. With the advanced surface commands, intermediate (pre) bends can be created.
A great strength of NX Progressive is the ability to quickly create openwork. The designer can freely change the orientation of the model and get immediate information about the material used. Punching simulation allows to clearly generate 3D openwork reflecting real punching appearance. After the openwork is made, NX can calculate the force needed for the tool to work properly.
Inserting parts into a hole pattern
NX Progressive allows you to quickly insert plates and segment them. Based on the height of the plates NX inserts punches and dies automatically sizing and positioning them relative to the folds. Automatically generated elements can also include holes, which are generated with the appropriate shapes to allow for waste discharge.
Creation of undercuts
The NX Progressive package includes tools for generating pockets in order to avoid collisions when raising and lowering openwork. Pockets are generated on the basis of dimensions without the need to draw sketches.
Standard parts library
A great strength of NX Progressive is the wide range of standard parts libraries. These are based on parametric models which, when inserted, allow pockets and holes to be generated in plates. The advantage of parametric models is that they automatically generate the part number and always maintain a consistent position in relation to the holes. In addition to individual parts, NX Progressive includes parametric body kits and slide parts (CAM).
NX Progressive allows for simplified concurrent work of several designers on one project. The work is realised on the basis of assigning parts to a given constructor. The constructor can save only those files which were assigned to him.
Quick quotation (offers)
NX Progressive has built-in tools for simplified tool price calculation. By specifying the size of the tool and making surfaces that mimic punch outlines, NX calculates the size of the model and determines the cost based on material data. All pricing data is transferred to an Excel spreadsheet.
